Doctoral Residency Program in Child Clinical Psychology

Kinark provides clinical training for doctoral-level psychology students through a scientist-practitioner model.

Kinark’s interview process is designed to ensure a fair and thorough assessment of candidates. A screening interview may be conducted to support shortlisting before initial interviews take place with a selection panel. Selection panels include, at minimum, the reporting Supervisor/Manager and one other staff member. Initial interviews may be conducted in person or virtually at the hiring manager’s discretion. In some cases, additional interviews may be required.

The interview panel and process for any subsequent interviews are determined by the hiring manager. Candidates may also be asked to complete an assignment or presentation as part of the interview process.

Confirmed findings on a Police Record Check (PRC) will be reviewed by Kinark in accordance with applicable policies and laws. Confirmed findings do not necessarily preclude employment. On a case-by-case basis, with careful consideration of the police report/offence declaration, any statement of relevance, governing legislation and other information, a determination will be made with regard to any implications for employment.
